
Conduct research into Comet customers attitudes towards technology and likely future purchases whilst at the same time increasing brand awareness, cleaning the customer and contact database and encouraging lapsed and new subscribers.
://CORPORACT created, developed and delivered a Comet branded online interactive quiz entitled "What appliance are you?" which was emailed to their customer database.
With the added incentive of winning Comet vouchers, customers were guided through a range of light-hearted, humorous questions that cleverly disguised more serious research questions to discover what kind of appliance they were - toaster, PC, PDA, etc. To enhance the dialogue and interactivity of the quiz "intelligent" witty comments were displayed based on a customer's answer to a question.
The quiz was tracked and the results collected in real-time, giving Comet a valuable insight into their customers planned future purchases and their attitudes towards technology in addition to PR opportunities.
And as it turned out the majority of respondents were televisions.
